Writing the stories we were told to keep quiet. Speaking the truths that set us free.
About Haleigh
Haleigh Howland is a writer, speaker, and the lead singer and lyricist of the rock band Blood Moon Majesty. Born and raised in Utah, she grew up navigating life on the margins of a culture that often demanded silence, perfection, and obedience.
Rewritten emerged from her decision to stop surviving quietly and start telling the truth out loud. She lives in Utah with her husband, their dogs, and her husband's two children — where she continues to write, make music, and build spaces for radical self-remembrance.
Rewritten is her first book.

What if your past is not a life sentence, but raw material?
A memoir of abuse and survival — but not a story about staying broken. Rewritten is about what comes after the worst thing has already happened. About the slow, often uncomfortable realization that healing doesn't mean erasing the past — it means reclaiming authorship over it.
This book doesn't promise easy answers. It asks better questions. It holds grief and rage alongside accountability. It invites you to stop living inside the story of what was done to you — without pretending it didn't matter.
Your story isn't finished. Open the book.
